"Attach" field on a form - 1/30/2004 15:14:33
Is this possible? I would like a form that a user could complete online and attach a file to it. When submitted, I would like contents of the form, including the file attached, to be sent to an e-mail address.

Can anyone provide me some direction?

P.S. I am familiar with "Upload File" but how would I get the file from the folder on the webserver, to the my client's e-mail address?

Start with this whitepaper:

FP2002: White Paper: How to Send Form Results to a Database and an E-mail Recipient and Use the File Upload Component Simultaneously

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=288328

It will be a multi-step process. The user will enter the form data and choose the file. The the form data sent to an intermediate datafile, and the chosen file will be uploaded. The form data will be processed by a confirmation page, written to the database, and you can also create your e-mail message on this confirmation page.

If I upgrade to FP2003, will I still need to follow all the steps in the White Pages?
