turn off vti_cnf feature - 2/2/2004 13:33:54
I recently had to debug and reboot my computer. After I reinstalled FP 2000, I now get those vti_cnf folders appearing. Years ago and on some other forum, an expert told me how to prevent these files from being created (because I don't use or need them). I've used FP for years without these vti_cnf folders being created, and it's now driving me nuts! Does anyone know how to turn this feature off?

Thanks,
Frank

Welcome to OutFront Frank,

Are you sure the feature was "turned off", or were the folders just "hidden". You can hide any folder that as an _ (underscore) in front of the file name by going to tools/websettigs/advanced and remove the check from the "show documents in hidden folders checkbox.

Here's a thread that explains what the extra files/folders are for...
