ADO Error in NT log - 3/5/2001 18:08:00
Source Office Web Server Event 263

ADO Error 80004005: [DBNMPNTW]Specified SQL server not found..

I need help tracking this down. I think it started when I demo a front page shopping cart program. I checked and disabled any unknown sql connections. How do I check office web server for configurations? I looked in IIS and can't find anything for Office Server

Thanks for any help or directions

P.S> Everything seems to run OK I keep getting this message in my NT app log every 5 mins

Hi Storm,

learned this leson last week; in iis uninstall the office server extensions if you get asked if you want to delete the meta data for the database say yes, reboot the server, you'll notice that when the server comes back up that the _vti directories are still there; now throw in the office 2000 cd and run the sesetup.exe, you'll have some choices one of which is to completely remove the server extensions; choose this and let it run; reboot, now when the server comes up and you go back it to iis you'll see that all the _vti type directorie are gone.

turns out to be a two step process, now your starting with a clean slate and should solve your problem.

if it doesn't post back
