Rounded corners? - 3/14/2001 20:31:00
How do you make rounded corners? What software is needed?

I've experimented with tables at 80% width of page. In the tables or cells I use bacground colors of white for text. For the page I use a background color of say blue. Looks good but I want to round the top edges of the table.

I've been told depending upon foreground and background colors I will need a GIF file, either transparent or same color as background. This makes sense, but how do I get the GIF?

Thanks!

You'll have to create one. Or get someone to create it for you.
You will need to add that image to the top cormers of the cell to give the rounded effect.

I've been told you can do it with Paint Shop Pro. I have version 4.15 and couldn't find anything which provides the ability to create this image. Would it be available in a more current version, or is other software needed. Any ideals would be appreciated. Thanks!

You would be able to make a small gif file with rounded corner in version 6 & 7 of Paint Shop Pro. I don't remember about version 5.

You can also make the gif file in Image Composer, which came with the stand alone version of FP, so you may already have it instead of having to purchase more software.

And if you happen to have Photodraw, you could make them there also but I am not sure about making them transparent there.

With any of the software, it doesn't immediately create what you are after. It will require some knowledge of the graphics program.

I just had a peek at your site and had to come back and say YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS to the Gold Wing. GWRRA member are you?

If you decide to tour Nebraska, let me know.
