[Review] Order Form - 2/15/2004 0:25:35
Please take a few minutes to review my order form.
Located: http://[.]mrbobdouglas[dot]com/billing/order/

Sign up for any package you wish. Don't worry, you won't be obligated to pay for it unless you goto Paypal and click Send Money. Also, you can enter a bunch of false information too.

Basically, lots of potential clients leave halfway through the order process, but nobody can tell why. Is there something confusing at all?

How does the layout look? Does it match with the main site?

Did I forget to mention anything inside my Help section that you believe should be revelant?

At the very end, click on the Survey link and post back here with that you believe I should add to the survey.

Thanks!

Hi BobbyDouglas,

OK, I tried it, here are a few things:

Initially I was under the impression that it was for domain registration only, after which it shows me a hosting plan. I didn't see for a good few seconds (~20) that there was also the option of registering for the domain name only. Put that option up first.

Second, don't make the default the most expensive option, it feels like you're trying to push me into paying more. Put it on the cheapest, and then I'll get greedy and choose the more expensive one and think it was my idea ;)

I didn't go much beyond that, the rest looked pretty standard step-by-step, so I hope nothing's going wrong there!

Thanks. This order form is what someone goes to after they have looked through our plans, and then decided they are ready to buy the hosting package that fit them best. So they would already come knowing this is the order pathway. Sorry I did not make that clear in my first post.

Did you understand every aspect of the process? Was anything left out as not clear enough for the basic interenet users?

I checked out the process up to entering the personal info and everything seems to work and nothing in the process seems out of place.

Using IE so wonder if problem might exist using the other browsers.

I only use Netscape 7 and Firefox 0.8. Worked with both of them.

Don't know about IE ;)

Works fine in opera. But you've actually answered your own question "basic internet users" emphasis on the basic bit. It looks lovely, well I expect that from you, but I wonder if you need to expand the help a bit? Also I wonder if you're allowing for the "baby boomer who needs glasses" I used the zoom in opera and suddenly the whole thing got much easier. The number of IE users who don't know how to increase text size is staggering.
