Win2000 Reboots - 4/9/2001 20:19:00
Not really a lot to do with Web Servers, but I am desperate for a bit of help and thought this might be the best place. I am running Win2000 SP1, and a while ago noticed that on a large download my machine would "auto reboot". Just occasionally starting FP will do the same, and now trying to access a VPN with RaptorMobile is doing the same. Everything else is fine. Is it that these 3 use IP protocols that is the common factor? If anyone has had similar experiences and (hopefully ) a fix, I would love to know. All latest SP's and updates installed btw.All the best, and thank. Vince

Hi Vince! Are you getting any clues from your System logs? Sounds like one or more of the NT services are set to reboot the machine on an error or some other specified event. I am not at my Win2000 machine right now so I can't really remember the steps but check in "Computer Management-->Services" and right click to see what the problem services are set to for error events....... Hi Rian, as you said, I had the system set to reboot on system failure. So far no reboots. Fingers crossed Thanks Rian Vince
