Database Results Wizard Error - 2/16/2004 15:42:05
I've added defaults in the wizard, but still get this error message in yellow. How do I prevent this. The first time my page is displayed I get this, then when I run the form, I get it ok. I just don't think it has anyplace in a production site.

The operation failed. If this continues, please contact your server administrator.

Thanks All!:)

Spooky,
In response to your :

At about line 19, change :

fp_DEBUG = False

to :

fp_DEBUG = True

I made the change and I still get the error. I also notice that I only get the error when using variables to filter such as: fieldname = '::valuename::'

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, but even the Microsoft setup is working the same way and is giving the same error.

If I create a page using the DRW and use a non-varible value: fieldname = 'chris' then it works fine, but if I use the '::valuename::', then it gives me the error.

Thanks
Chris

Mke,

micorsoft lists this as a cure: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;828905&Product=fp2003

I didn't work for me but give it a shot.

I have an issue - having built a data display/update set of pages using the Database Wizard in FP2003, when I edit the row and click 'OK', I get

Database Results Wizard Error
Description: The precision is invalid.
Number: -2147467259 (0x80004005)
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server

I'm thinkig this is a SQL server error, not FrontPage - any ideas?

This happens to me ALL the time. I can fix it by creating a new sub web with the database interface wizard. I then copy all the fp_ files and paste into my web and overwrite. It takes care of the error for me everytime!
