.bak2 being created, and left open upon FP upload throu... - 4/12/2001 20:54:00
A client uploads files to his web space through FP2000, to our NT MMC1.1-IIS4.0 server. All of his files become read-only, and files that he replaces are renamed to .bak2 (eg. index.bak2) and left open (locked). The site has been re-installed plenty of times, the permissions on directories and user-access has been checked, and the extentions can not be upgraded further (latest). It is an isolated problem that is happening to only ONE of my clients... Any ideas?

Thanks Storm, Yes - I have talked him through publishing with both HTTP and FTP, through Frontpages' "Publish Web" option... From memory, the issue does not occur when he transfers files via an alternate FTP package.
