Website Server Issues - 4/14/2001 19:32:00
Upon arriving home from vacation I have found that my host has moved my site to a new server. This server did not have the extensions installed. After letting him know this he installed them and my mail forms are now working as are my ASP pages. My problem now is that my page for to get into my back-end gives me the following error when I try to get to it. Any ideas? The site is: www.msccamp.comThe page that use to work on the old server is and no longer does is: http://www.msccamp.com/maint/defaultverify.asp This page does exist in my web. ------------------ Brian---

Any moderators around this forum?????I should note that it continually gives me the I.E. 500 error. Could it be because of the way my hosts transfered the files. I have deleted everything but it is real buggy when trying to publish now and it keeps prompting for passwords during the publishing. Also, I should have mentioned that they upgrade from NT4 to NT2K. Does this help. ------------------ Brian---

I would have the host "clean" everything out of the directory - IE: start fresh and then publish. It sounds like they have some configuration wrong, but that's only aguess. Without access to the server it is hard to tell.------------------ Gil Harvey The Host Factory Resellers are our speciality "Is there another word for synonym?"

I am with Gil's suggestion......"error 500" is usually an "internal server error" and without access to server logs it would be VERY difficult to guess what is wrong....Ran ------------------ Webmaster SR Web Creators http://www.srwebcreators.com _ _______________ _ "Press ENTER once to quit or twice to save changes..." _ ______________ _

Well my host never found the problem. They had no clue when it came to FP Ext. I visited http://www.digihost.com and within 30 minutes I was set up with an IP address and able to publish and redirect my domain there. They have an awesome control panel that allows you to configure your mail and more. I dont know maybe this is the norm, but it is 100 times better than my last host. I highly recommend them to anyone in need.------------------ Brian---

I would have to agree about Digihost - I have several sites with them and I am always amazed at the number of people here who post with problems with extensions. I have never, ever, had a single problem of this kind. Digihost support is pretty good too - though the real boon is that I have very rarely had cause to use it.------------------ Katherine InKK Design LinKKs - Kilkenny's Online Magazine -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* "Dogs have owners, cats have staff!"
