Posting "reviews" on a site--Amazon, Epicurious - 4/16/2001 21:47:00
Does anyone know what software is used to allow people to post "reviews" of books or recipes on sites such as Amazon.com or Epicurious? Is it parallel to Front Page's guest book?

It is a long long long way from FPs Guestbook.Amazon use very sophisticated databases to do what they do. A feature like this will require some form of database and some form of scripting. If you are happy to grapple with perl you will get some ready made scripts that will do a much simplified version of a review and rating system here: http://www.hotscripts.com/Perl/Scripts_and_Programs/Reviews_and_Ratings/ ------------------
