Multiple Sites - One Server - 4/17/2001 21:24:00
I am having the same problem as another similar situation. We set up a server to have multiple sites on a single server with one i.p. address. I can publish WebA to one address. When publishing WebB to the other web site, the following message is displayed. "The web server does not have FP server extensions installed"

The version of the extensions on WebA are 4.02.4022.

The two sites are located on c:/inetpub/wwwroot/WebA and c:/inetpub/wwwroot/WebB.

When I use MMC to configure server extensions for WebB, the wizard appears. After completing the wizard a message appears "The document root of the web server where you are trying to install the server extensions already contains a dis-based web." I am not sure how to get the extensions onto WebB.

Any help would be appreciated. I may have put in 2 requests for the same problem. I put in the first one in reply to the other users problem, but didn't see it. So please bare with me if you did see 2 requests on this same subject. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Add a second IP for WebB or use host header configuration...

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this. I don't think I have a choice of adding a second IP for WebB. The alternative you said is to use host header configuration, what is this?

Thanks for your help
