Desperate for help to publish - 4/24/2001 15:32:00

Hi,

I am desperate for an answer. My server says to call Microsoft and Microsoft says to talk to my server and neither one will help.

We have frontpage2000.

My wife and I have had a site up for a long time and we have not used extensions and just ftp'd the site.

The site is very large and now we are trying to publish the entire site and it has subwebs in it.

We are trying to publish it to our site "Mental Health Bookstore" which we don't have up yet, just to see if it will publish, to see it it works before we publish it to where it belongs at the mhsanctuary.com.

We can't get through the end of publishing it without this error:

Server error: Cannot rename D:\html\users\mentalhealthbookstore\bakgrnd\aradbul3.gif

What we have been doing is deleting the jpgs and gifs as it is always a picture that it can't rename and then we try to publish again. However, then a new picture comes up with the same warning and we never can publish the entire site.

Each time we delete what we have published and start fresh.

Do you have a clue on what we can do?

storm Posts: 421 Status: offline	RE: Desperate for help to publish - 4/25/2001 22:30:00 you mentioned that you ftp to the site at one point and now your having a problem when your trying to publish. the chances are good that you corrupted the server extentions. have the extensions reinstalled and that should solve your problem. ------------------ storm... Were trying to install to a empty site. A site we've payed for but yet to write. Weve deleted all the frontpage architecture then imported it back as a web, then continued to setup the subwebs. When ever we try and publish we actually make it thru some of the subwebs before we get the �server error; cannot rename� error.
We get "Call Microsoft" from our server, and "Call your server" from Microsoft.

I am confused.....what exactly did you delete and where? On your hosting server?
