Where to place links from a content page to a a sales item?

Hello,
I was hoping to get some opinions on the following...
I have content pages which have one to three paragraphs of content per page. Where would you place a one line link to the related item or genre of items that are for sale? Prior to content in the middle or after? It really does not lend to blending it in throughout the page in sprinkles.
I was thinking prior to the content paragraphs as that way I have the surfers inital attention. Also it is in the prime real estate area (prior to having to scroll downwards).

I prefer to sprinkle. Not having that option,I tend to link at the top of the page, in a sort of table of contents of products that the particular page is discussing, and at the bottom of the page with perhaps more generic links to other pages having content and links to products ad infinum.

I like an easy to see link at the top. Unless the paragraph goes below the fold... then one and the top and bottom.

I put mine prior to the content, under the H1. However, if the copy in the content justified a hyperlink to the same information as under the H1, I wouldn't hesitate to use it...though I would not do so gratuitously.
I make those one line links about 10 pixels, maybe 11 px, depending on the size of the H1. I put H2s under the one line link(s).
