Connecting to virtual directory - 5/14/2001 13:37:00
I have a customer that is insistant on doing all updates to her site by connecting directly to the live site through FP. This worked until I moved the site to a W2k/IIS5 machine. Now when she tries to connect, she gets "Error: The specified module could not be found." I've tried checking the extensions, removing and adding the extensions, removing and adding the virtual directory and the site. Same results every time. Any ideas?

Stupid question but have you been able to connect to the server to test it out and make sure it's not on her end.Jess ------------------ Applied Innovations http://www.appliedi.net/ FrontPage Web Hosting

I did, and I was receiving the same results on my computer. They say the definition of insanity is repeating the same actions, and expecting different results. Not knowing anything else, I completely deleted the site from IIS, removed FP extensions, and reapplied SP1. Then I recreated the site, added the extensions, and created the virtual directory. The only thing different there from what I did before was reapply SP1 with the extensions removed. SP1 added them back automatically, and it started working.
