Can't publish same web to another site - 5/20/2001 14:07:00
Getting this message when trying to publish same web to another server. {From free site to pay site): "An error occured accessing your Frontpage web files. Authors - if authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster for the server's side. Webmasters - please see the server's system log for more details."Server host says extensions are installed. I say they are not? Any hints as to how I can fix this problem? Don From TreeTops Ranch

You can check whether or not the server extensions are installed here: http://www.netcraft.com/whats/You woiuld be amazed how often a host will swear they are until presented with the evidence that they are not ------------------

Here's what that web site returned:
Your site(name of site) is running Apache/1.3.12 mod_affinity_mhp (Unix) mod_frontpage/3.0.4.3 on Solaris.Can I assume from the above words mod_frontpage, that the extensions are installed? Don from TreeTops Ranch

Yep.At ehat point do you get that message? Have you tried opening the site using an FTP proramme - in other words do you have access?

Jeez.. I'm having a simular problem!
*this is purely speculation as I am bran new*
but I have been advised to 'Uninstall' then 'Reinstall' FP ext's...My host put my account up without pluralising
it....ie freeserver.com instead of freeservers.com
(not freeservers i hasten to add) Now I have an empty webspace and have just recieved confirmation of its change to the Domain name I wanted! Will I have to wait the customary 3 days before I can publish my 1st effort dya think?

Here's a clue... When I attempted to publish a couple a days ago it seemed to publish but when I looked at the site only the index.htm page published and no shared borders, no date bots and no other pages. Now when I try to publish this url pops up to publish... ftp://www.peruvianpasofun.com. When I correct it to http://www.peruvianpasofun.com I get the error shown in my first post.My guess is that the extensions were blown out somehow. Don

All O.K. now. Paid host admitted that they were having Frontpage Extension problems.
Everything seems to be O.K. now except theme background color changed to white on one of my sites. It was my first site that used themes. I don't use them anymore.
