You can do it quickly and easily with two programs (one is even free!): Autostitch (http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html) will automatically stitch your photos, with minimal distortion and is very customizable. FlashVR (flashvr.de) is a awesome piece of software I've been using. Automatically converts to Flash for you. There's even one version that doesn't even require you to have the full version of Flash on your machine. (I use an educational version.) Awesome customer service, too. I've managed to do my panoramas with my general purpose, three-year old, 3 megapixel Vivitar digital camera and a $10 tripod from Walmart!

You didn't say what browser you were using but in FireFox do this: TOOLS>>OPTIONS>>CONTENT and check the javascript box and java box
