I'm on a dedicated Server using windows 2000 supplying my site to a company of users on NT 4. I've looked at the Spooky login but would like to see what all my options are and possibly start with something using the NT user DataBase. Am I thinking correctly? Thanks

Sure, if you have full access to the server then you can add user accounts as you see fit and not allow anonymous users.

Each user would need to log in with their account name.

The hassle with most servers is that they charge for this and once its set, you cant administer it with out another helpdesk call.

Thats where doing it with my login is, although not as secure, more easily administered.

With full server access, this doesnt have to be a problem.

My site is an Intranet and the Web Server is downstairs controlled by our Network Services department. They are somewhat reluctant to give us cart blanche on "our" (but really "thier" server) so I am trying to find a way without needing the permissions that I do not have.
If I understand you correctly and I get them to work with me on this and they give me a higher level of access, the subweb way of doing this using the NT user database would be the easiest way of providing security and password access correct?
If I don't receive a higher access from our NS Dept, your login program would work for me on NT with a moderate permission level (permission to publish I mean)?
