Support for MS Access on IIS 4.0 - 6/16/2001 20:53:00
Hi thereI've setup an NT Server with IIS 4.0 and installed the Frontpage Extensions. When I tried to use an Access-DB query page with Frontpage, the page would not work. I first had to install MS Access on the Server. Is this the only way to achieve this, or is it possible to only install part of Access (without a licencensed copy) to get a DB-page working? Any information greatly appreciated. Matthias

You don't have to install access on the server, the ODBC drivers to access the database are already there. You need to create an ODBC DNS and point it at your database. I think you're going to want to go to www.aspin.com and look at some of the tutorials on access.
