IIS 4.0, problem publishing - 6/19/2001 13:29:00
Ok, I have IIS 4.0 setup on our server at work. We have a site setup under the Default Website on Port 80 that works with our UNIX system and acts as a logon screen. You can access that by using http://serverlpa/cmhcmis

Well, what I want to do is setup another site using PORT 81 and have that site act as our Company Intranet. I have set it up and pointed it at the Inetpub\wwwroot folder which has the site. Now I can access that web by using http://serverlpa:81, but I can not publish to it. I have FPSE's installed, and need to publish it to use some of the FP functions. Can someone help?

What you describe is a permissions issue, but I'm assuming you've looked in that area.

I'm very confused when you say you're using an NT server but have a UNIX server assigned as setup on Port 80. ???

The only thing I can think of is to look at your permissions again, and be sure the FP extensions are installed, becasue the publish function does not work without them.

Good luck!

Phil
