Paul Loseby -> Timed out with hard drive folders - FP2002 (6/24/2001 20:19:00)

I have just updated to Office XP with FP2002. I have a 600+ page site which I prepared and maintain on my hard drive before uploading.
When I load Frontpage, unless there are no other applications running, I get the message 'The served 'timed out' [At this point I am not using the server] .The current request did not complete successfully', and there are then no listings of folders etc.
Everything worked fine with FP2000. Does anyone know if there is a setting I should change to stop this happening

I have the pages as d:\wwii\burmastar\*.* As my server does not have Frontpage extensions, I upload any new pages to the internet by ftp.

I maintain the site, alter things and add new pages on the hard drive folder. When they are right there, then I ftp them.

Does that make a difference at all? I appreciate the help.

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul

Try this....

In FP look under "Tools>>Options" and unselect the option for FP to open the last web automatically.
