amazon alternative? - 3/17/2004 7:16:29
Hello............ I have been promoting my site the last couple of years primarily thru search words pay per click. It's been successful. I also have been working to get my products listed with Amazon in their "Seller Central" program..........any sales made thru Amazon would incur a commission. To make a long story short because of Amazon's inability to provide timely & helpful technical support, and the complications of their site/product listing system, I've canned that idea. Does anyone know if there are any other product marketing opportunities out there similar to Amazon's? Or something else that I can look at to broaden my market? My site offers cake decorating, candy making and soap making products for the do-it-yourselfer. I tried affiliates, that was a huge waste of time (although I have not tried "being one"). Any idea are appreciated!! Joe Hussar candywebster@aol.com http://www.candylandcrafts.com/

I would take a look at the big online bookstores in your country and set up an affiliate account with them. Hunt through and find books that are actually relevent to your content and you should see quite a lot of click thru's.
