If you could do a couple examples of horizontal navs with your wonderful explainations, I would appreciate it. Maybe add them to your wonderful tutorial that you have placed in the tips from the commnuity?

thanks in advance.

I'll try to get around to it but as you know I'm shortly going to be away on assigment so I won't make any promises.

In any event it'd be very difficult to better grahamstewart's excellent suggestion and explanation.[:)] What is it about that that you currently have a problem with?

c1sissy -> RE: horizontal Navs/Gorilla (3/17/2004 17:25:26)

Yes, I know you are going away, and you will be greatly greatly missed dear fury one.[&o]

Anyhow, not really sure what it is, maybe it is just getting in there and doing it. Lord knows I have enough material tuts etc....

If you can't get to it, fine, I totally understand.

You mention gramstewarts explaination? Did I miss something in here? Guess I'll do a search.

<edit>ahh, now I remember where he is [;)] Thanks Oh furry one, am searching for that one now</edit>

Well then just get in there and do it [:)] - it is really the only way.

Well, you know me, 4CSS[;)], Guess I should just pull all out and go from there to see what is going to happen. Just remove the fear of it not working and having problems. Get the dots to connect with all the information thatI have traveling through the ol brain.

lol, you truly are amazing [;)]

You surely didn't think that I didn't hang out there did you? And no I'm not going to tell you which name I hang out there under.[8D] Maybe some day you'll take a deep sniff and notice a slight scent of banana in some of the topics.

However his suggestion is good so I'd go with that were I you.

It really does not matter if you imperfectly understand something to start with you gain understanding by doing it.

LOL I already have noticed that there were a few banana peels in there. But I have not located where they are from yet. Some things look familar, but.....

where?????? huh???

jaybee -> RE: horizontal Navs/Gorilla (3/17/2004 18:25:28)

Eeeek! What! Pardon!

The great hairy person going away! He must be stopped! Instantly!

I've just finished my first all css site. It validated for css and html. Just got to plug the content manager in, so the site owner can update his bits, and then I was going to unleash it on you just to prove I can do it without tables and FP themes.

And you'll be gone! [sm=bye.gif]

Any ideas why my javascript menu shows up fine in everything except Opera 6? Does Opera handle it differently? All I get is a blank space with invisible hyperlinks where the buttons should be.

Should we start building the traps errr, banana cakes?

jaybee -> RE: horizontal Navs/Gorilla (3/17/2004 18:41:48)

When it comes to big hairy people I thought they used holes in the ground and nets rather than bananas but what the heck, I'll give anything a go. [:)]

As to my Opera question..... I think I've found the answer. For anyone having the same problem it's here [:'(]

dont you realize how quickly they can climb out of things? One little vine of grass hanging and you have an escaped Gorilla. You need to be tricky, have some bait. What a better bait then fresh from the oven banana bread?

Thanks for the info on Opera,

jaybee -> RE: horizontal Navs/Gorilla (3/17/2004 18:53:16)

Now I'm thinking.......

Should I spend ages fiddling with the javascript to get it to work in a browser that, according to my site stats, isn't used by anyone or.......

go bake some banana bread?

Hmmmmmmm [8|]

c1sissy -> RE: horizontal Navs/Gorilla (3/17/2004 19:22:13)

Jaybee, go bake some banana bread, Let me know when it is done, I totally love it.
