FP Update Problem! - 3/17/2004 12:21:36
I've made a folder named "include" and kept several files which included in different files (1167) files like include hitmls are TopBar.htm, SideBar.htm, Logo.htm, Bottom.htm, but when I change in include file and then upload to the server, no page take effect, even FP2003 doesn't ask for overwrite.

Is there anyway that all files updated automatically, I cannot re-assemble all files, bcoz the files are very large in numbers.

Or

Is there any way that I can publish only .asp and .htm files without mannually selection from different folders...

I hope you people will understand my situation.

The targeted website is: http://www.dabclub.com

Waiting for your response...

Are you using an FP include bot, or are you using server side includes?

I assume FP bots, as these are design time. You cant just upload the single file, the site must be open so that the other pages can be updated.

With SSI, this problem wont occur.

Dear Spooky

Openning site live is not a problem, but the problem is the method of updating the whole site... when we update only one file i.e. included file, when I browse it locally it shows the updates, but when I publish, it doesn't detect the overwrite on whole pages...

You are saying that I must update the include file on live website? If you are saying this then the answer is, when I open the live website, all the include links are broken, and it does not show the component included, all the material looks as it is design in every page, not included.
