Probably the easiest thing is to learn the Database Results Wizard. FP's help is good, and so is "FrontPage 2003 Inside Out" from MS Press.

Any help on the DRW is a Spooky question--I rarely use the thing. It's not that hard to hand code this same thing, but it's not a beginner task, either. You'll need to learn VB Script, some SQL and recordset objects. There's a lot of help out there, but it can be overwhelming until you have a good understanding of the basics.

Richard is right. What you want to do is set the form that has your dropdown to submit to a second page, say results.asp. On the second page, use the database results wizard to create a results region of your DVDs. In step 3 of the wizard, select a criteria for Category. When you get to step 5, there is an option to add a search form. You should not use that option as you already created your search form on another page.
