Hosting for FT Sudents - 7/5/2001 20:02:00
Can anyone recommend a cost effective way of a class of students publishing web design exercises for real! Unfortunately the college I work for are dead stuffy about publishing to the intranet, so I need to find somewhere where they can go through the process of uploading a site. I've found a company who charges £30 a month for unlimited domains, but I was hoping for something a bit cheaper - may be a free web provider (don't mind banner adds), but would like FP extensions. Many thanks as always.

Geocities or hypermart or any of the free hosts with extensions should be fine for this. Unless the students need domain name there are a lot of choices of you do not mind ads.I am not really familiar with any of these but there has been fairly frequent discussion of them here so if you search for 'free hosting' or 'free extensions' you should get some additional info. ------------------

I'd recommend Tripod.Hostyard.com is also very reasonable. $39 for a year and 200MB of webspace.
But only FP2000 extension support.
