Charlesb -> server upgrade??? (7/5/2001 16:28:00)

I am considering upgrading a production server from nt/IIS4 to 2000/IIS5. Does this typically go smoothly or a lot of problems? I read an article that suggested moving data/web site to another computer, fresh install of 2000 then moving everything back. That seems like a pain, it would be nice to do the upgrade with everything in place.

A "PAIN" now would be a lot less than the pain of losing everything

I know of no reason an upgrade 'shouldn't' go smooth - haven'y heard of any. But, then all the admins I know have done freash installs
