Permissions - 8/9/2001 20:14:00
Can someone point me to a good resource that has to do with NT and IIS 4.0/5.0 permissions. When setting up my server extensions, it creates local machine groups for each web site I create. I know that I do need to set permissions for the different groups. I am kinda unsure as to what level of security I need to give each group. I am a decent web designer but when it comes to NT and permissions and all that, I am not so good. So if anyone can ba of assistance I would greatly appreciate it.------------------ Wes The world would be a better place if stupidity hurt SCSI Business Solutions

RE: Permissions - 8/10/2001 20:20:00
Only give the different groups what permissions they need. If you are the only author and the page is for public view, give yourself All Rights, and give the EVERYONE group only the the right to read and execute scripts (if you are running scripts on your pages). You can edit the permissions if you open it live, go to Tools/Server. In FP2002 you can set up specific roles and assing those roles to individual users.
