photo shop 6 - 4/3/2004 17:26:09
i made some text that i want to use in FP but when i insert the text into the places i want them to be, they look fine in the normal view but in the preview or in explorer the words have moved. how can i keep them exactly where i put them. i have used tables and have played with the absolute positioning but nothing seems to work. i have imported them as jpeg and gif but no difference. am i doing something wrong in PS or is there something im missing in FP? thank you for your help

zoom... can you give me a little more information on what's going on? or maybe a link to the site with a little background on how you want it to look? As far as what program's problem it is, chances are it will be FP. If the image looks fine in pshop when saved that's it pretty cut and dry, that's how it looks. If you put it in FP a number of things can happen if the formatting of the table/cells are off (stretching, repositioning, etc.). Give me a little more info and I'll be glad to help you out. -Stephen

the web page is www.atveffects.com. the graphics are not up there because they didnt work. i have some photos that i made cool frames for in PS6 and i put the photos in the frames in ps and imported them into fp, the photo moves out of the ps frame in the preview mode. i have tried absolute positioning but to no avail. when i inserted the text i made in ps they moved as well. or did not show up. the pics are in the tables that i want to put the frame i made in ps. if i know when you are here ill insert them and you can take a look thanks alot

hey ipsy - what's with all of the PM stuff? (the concept is that if you make a public post you will draw on a vast, unfathomable, limitless bank of knowledge , and it will be searchable and visible to the whole world, or at least the portion that has internet access, so that the width and breadth of our expertise can be shared by all) didn't I already say that somewhere if you've got some secret technique, then I certainly would like to know what it is, isn't that the point of a forum, and to extrapolate further, isn't that the concept of the very business we're in, the presentation of all of the knowledge, to all of the people, all of the time? or are you just trolling???

LOL, my apologies ellipisces. I didn't at all mean to seem like I was trying to pull people from the forum, quite the opposite in fact. Whenever I've needed help I've always wished that I could talk with someone one on one rather than post-wait-post-wait-post-wait, etc. you get the point. On an IM you can solve an issue within 10 minutes, on a forum the same issue could take days. By all means if you feel that my invitations to chat personally are somewhat ill-mannered or serving of another purpose rather than assistance, then by all means I will gladly not offer a personal chat as a service again. In cases especially ones such as this where one answer is usually not sufficient it can be helpful to have someone that will walk you through matters step by step, even more so when time is an issue. However my offer still stands. If you would like me to post solely on the board without any such individual help I would be more than glad to take that into account as well. If not, please let me know otherwise. -Stephen

Im back with the same question, I made a frame for the pictures on my web site and some text in ps6, but when i put them on the page in FP and veiw them they are all over the place. as the page is now.... in normal mode the navagation bar is at the top of the page just to get it to appear where it is now. i have used frames and absoulut positioning but nothing is working right. Thanks alot Lisa
