MS eCommerce program w/ FP 2003 - 4/9/2004 21:01:53
Hi, I do very small static sites for local companies and have had success with FP and (don't shoot me) tables. Now I am adding an option for people to buy services on-line. I like standardizing on the MS platform - it just makes life easier - one forum, one support number, interoperability etc. Their eCommerce program provides a shopping cart that I can tweak for services and customize a bit on my site. Can anyone think of a reason why I should not use this service? I know there are free carts out there but since I am not a programmer support is huge to me and I have had good luck with MS. Thanks for any input.

Are you talking about the bCentral stuff? Can we get a link to more info about it too? My first thoughts are that it isn't good.

Hi, Yes that is what I am talking about: http://www.bcentral.com/products/cm/default.asp?LID=33832 I have tried it in a demo and it seems okay. The other selling point is that the client is not a programmer and may have to manage the site on their own so open source or forum only support won't work. Thanks for any input.
