Line height - 4/14/2004 17:02:38
I'm reading about setting line height. My font is set to small though and not to point. Is there a way to get this to work with the small, or do you need to use em or pt in order for this to work?

This is for a list in a nested div. I need to have a spacing between the lines in the list.
Thanks.

use em, ex, or px. not pt. Better yet put in padding (in px is best) at the bottom of each <li> to give the space. Lineheight is messy between different browsers often its more trouble than its worth.

try using a scaling factor like
line-height: 1.6,
i read (in erics first css book) something about if use percentages/ems on line height it sometimes takes the line height of the parent block (or something!) but using just a number works whatever. try it and see if it works better, or then stick with the paddding if that works for you!
