Making a user and password with javascript - 4/17/2004 13:55:29
Hello there. I know nothing about cgi or perl or any other compelx programming languages. I would like to make two form boxes (1. name 2. password) and a javascript with an IF condition which would say: if name="example" and password="example2" then go to a webpage (whichever). If not, go to another webpage (both predefined by me). Any idea how I could script this??? Thanks in advance

I am on a windows server. But remember: I don't want to use cgi or perl to do the passwrod thing. I only want to make a simple javascript with an IF condition.

There are several free scripts at javascript.internet.com and other javascript sites. I know there is one called gatekeeper

If you're on a window server then spooky login is the way to go. Javascript is inherently insecure as of course its client side so everything gets downloaded to your visitors' computers including all the passwords.
