abbeyvet -> Is this a big deal? (10/12/2001 20:18:00)

I don't know whether I should be getting annoyed with my host or not

Scenario: I am using a PHP script which includes a checkout section that I need to access via a secure server. However the secure server does not support PHP, thought the main server does.

Contacted hosts. They reply that no, the secure server does not currently support PHP but a new server they are installing in the next month or so will. Now this is fine and dandy but I want to do this now. Also I am concerned that to use this facility I would have to change servers and I already have a load of stuff on the existing one, related to other portions of the same site.

Would it be a major deal for them to make PHP available on the existing server?

If so and I decide to wait will I have to change my existing stuff to a new server? If so I may as well just change hosts now and start into the major hassle that that would invlove. I am getting a bit sick of this lot anyway of late. You know who I am talking about Rian
