Site there but URL not resolving - 10/16/2001 18:50:00
My cient contacted me today to say their site was unavailable. Sure enough it is. www.eckilkenny.ieI can FTP in, the site is all present and correct so the server can't be down. What could cause this? I am going to have to speak to the server people, who are difficult to speak to at the best of times, in the morning - this is not a hosting company I work with often and I have had a lot of problems with them in the past - so I would like to have some idea what I am talking about. ------------------

Katherine, I'm getting a 500 error (an internal server error) usually means the server is misconfigured or down completely. Is this kerna.ie ? If so it appears their DNS servers are very unstable, the reports are mixed. ------------------

Yes, it is Kerna. Where and how do you find this out? As I expected they are giving me the run around. No one but me has this problem.....etc etc. These are the 'experts' that took 3 months to enable a server for SSI and 4 months to password protect a directory for me so any prod to their (lack of) efficiency would be welcome. ------------------
