that's another thing that you would need to get sorted if you went alone - your internet connection and hosting.
it would be worth buying a domain name and web space, and getting a cable connection

Dan,

For your hosting problem; you have plenty of space on the server for the purpose of showing mockups... make a /clients/ directory and put them there rather then the free host --- if nothing else, it is more professional.

For your mockups -

- the first one, I dislike all around. Don't like the gray chrome-y LKF (for the subject at hand) or the logo.

- the second one:

1. I like the tone more, but not really keen on the gray with the sepia tones. I think that you should go more with the colors in the first THIS (the greens) and blend your sepias in with that.

2. Top Graphic header much better then first idea. For me there is too much in the top header area that is just blank space. I think that I would try to utilize that top right header space for navigational purposes rather then the bar thru the page (JMHO).

3. I personally think it needs to be "tighter" (the forum too). I don't like where the bottom nav rests. I don't like where the site copy rests. Just too "open" from this side of the screen ;)

4. Text is very large and overpowering - maybe choose a lighter "black" shade (vs the #000000)

I like a little more graphical approach, but this one is something that can be built upon.

Me no know, shall sort that at home, provided Leech FTP will connect

I'm starting to not like it as well:)

Had thought of adding the greens into it. I just wasn't sure whether it would go or not. I'll see what I can do when I get home.

So more customisation of the forum then? If I move the nav up to the top-right, it means the main nav would clash with the forum nav. I'll see what I can do...

What would you suggest, copyright info and bottom nav to oneside, or in the middle? As for the forum, still working on perfecting the layout, dang tables

I'm trying to make it as readable as possible, might be the headers making it look so bold, lemme see if I can tone them down a bit first

I did try to go for the graphical approach but failed miserably. So I went for the CSS approach. It's hard to do a graphical site, with a mess to work with:):)
