Shared borders instead of Frames - 3/14/2001 13:25:00
I am building my first web site and have built put navigation hyperlinks in a table and then inserted that into a shared top border. I have heard that frames can be a problem so I thought this might be the easiest way to ensure the top of each page has the same information and is easy to update. Are there any problems with this approach? Thanks for any advice.

You are very correct in choosing a shared border of a framed site. When it comes to indexing your site, the serach engine bots can not follow a framed site. There are a lot of people who do not enable frames too, these ppl will also now be able to view your site correctly. I've never been a big fan of frames, I for one, (who am I anyway! LOL) am very glad you chose to go with shared borders/tables.
