[:D] allright, after too much time spent developing, it's time for me to go live. It's probably very plain. I am artistically challenged and trying hard to get over my handicap; I did take all the flower picures myself though. BTW, should I put a watermark on them?

the website is revera.ro (romanian domain but the site is entirely English)

Feel free to place orders using dummy data (use a good email though, no spam I promise :) and make a critique of the delivery information form and confirmation email if you want.

thanks!

cart is working?

don't change anything, go out and gather hits[&:][;)][8|]

Giomanach -> RE: My first site. any critiques appreciated (4/29/2004 3:38:30)

I would alter the font frm Times New Roman to Verdana/Tahoma/Arial/sans-serif. Could use a bit more colour for my liking.

First thought on the weather display thingy was - Oh no!!! not another counter!!!!!. Move that down to below the vertical nav, and I won't think it again[:)]. It just needs a bit more colour, thats all I can say

Dan

BTW - Welcome To Outfront

yeah, it's missing a little something like some structure. kinda looks like tha bouquets and descriptions just hanging out tin the middle of nowhere. Like add a border to the right side of each bouquet/description group (see gorilla's site). i would also bring the descriptions in a little closer to the pics. otherwise, very nice job.

Stop fiddling around :-) REad whatever advice you get here and make your own mind up. IMO you're ready to go and get customers now.

Things to change:

Expand your image alt tags so that there is a description not just "enlarge".

Use a sans-serif font.

I disagree with the rest of what giomanach and lbg have said although as you expand you will need to add structure so start preparing for that now.

You're ready - go do it.

ellipisces,
the shopping cart works, I just have to switch it from "demo" mode to real mode.

'told you I'm artistically challenged ;) I'll try to figure out somethin. But since y'all didn't find too many bads, I'll change the font for now and let it go, I can work some more on the design after.

I want to give some time to the search engines to pick it up

thanks again, it certaintly helps muchos!
