unable to open 'http://www.xxx.com'. - 5/18/2004 1:01:07
I have a named based domain that I've taken over management from a previous webmaster. I redid the site using FP2003. I was away from the site for a couple of weeks, and the owner had his secretary make several changes during that time. She used FP2002. Now I find it impossible to publish anything to the domain (except for FTP). When trying to do a standard FrontPage publish function, I keep getting the error: "Unable to open 'http://www.xxx.com'. Possible causes..... " I've reinstalled FP2003 extensions twice, but I'm still unable to publish. I have no problem with 36 other FP sites I'm managing. I'm told the user (secretary) can publish just fine with her FP2002 verison. What am I missing?

What are the possible causes? FP2003 at home won't connect to any site, but I thiunk that's due to my net connection.

You might want to check the status of the FPSE, also can you access the server error logs? or the error logs on you local machine, if so, lemme see.

Dan
