RogerThompson -> Disable/Enable JavaScript (5/21/2004 11:41:46)

I have the luxury of prescribing browser requirements for a small targeted audience. (Data collection from a limited number of vendors.) I will prescribe IE 5 or better. Or, maybe IE6 or better depending on the answer.

Can a user disable JavaScript in IE 5 and/or IE6? If the user cannot disable JavaScript, then I don't have to check to see if it has been disabled and give them instructions on enabling JavaScript.

Thanks.

Doesn't have to be IE5/6, you can disable JavaScript in ANY browser, you just gotta know how....

There are hacks to do this for IE, but why work with junk to begin with?

chances are that if they have disabled it then they will know how to enable it.

Just a note... if you're using JavaScript to check and see if JS is enabled it may not work... if it's not enabled to run the script to check and see if it's enabled...
