Site Critique...if you can - 5/30/2004 21:28:40
Hello everyone,

I have been a long time member of the newsletter and found this site about 2 1/2 years ago, but have never checked out the forum or posted for that matter. This site has really become a great resource not only for FP users, but any kind of Web Design professional!

Anyways, my site is: http://www.localrealestateconnection.com.

I am trying to find a way to make my life a little easier developing this site and I need some help. Updating every page if I need to add a new city to a state could be a daunting and horrible task, with late nights of Mountain Dew by my side. The only way that I know how is to open each page and make the adjustment. And right about now, some of you are crinching, knowing that this is the extremely long process. So for you crinchers, could you please help! :) I am not sure how to make this any easier, but I do know there is a way.

Thank you guys for taking the time and if you are a real estate agent as well...sign up!

Looking forward for some help! :)

P.S. - I use MS FP2002 for site design.

Hi Voasi & Welcome To Outfront - The Real Side:)

First of all, the site looks great, but I do have a few things to pick at:

1 - I looked at a couple of the State pages (New Jersey and Kentucky), both of which, have the title, and some content outside of the main content. Move it into there, Keep the Real Estate Connection image at the top of the page, but do put the head and content in with the rest of it. If it's the same for all of them, please do the same.

2 - Comic Sans MS - Ditch it, replace it with Verdana/Tahoma/Sans-serif - Maybe even Arial, try to stick to one font on your pages, use too many and you get the proverbial "ransom note" for a web site:):)

3. When I looked at Alabama - i) Where's Anniston?:):) ii) You need to give it more of a columned look, one long list can get rather annoying after a while.

4. On some of the pages, I only noticed on some, so it may be more, you have New Page 1 as the title, please change it to suit the state etc. Something like:

.:: Local Real Estate Connection - New Jersey ::.

Otherwise the site is fine.

Dan
