IIS 5.1 + FP2002 +email forms help! - 6/1/2004 15:07:10
ok.. I am running this site here http://69.192.249.177/Contact.htm off of my computer running windows xp pro with IIS 5.1. I set up the form in frontpage accordingly and im all ready but when I click submit I get that page telling me i dont got server extensiosns installed (well try for yourself). What do I need to configure in IIS so when the submit button is pushed it sends it to my hotmail account?

Welcome to OutFront. From my experience, even if you get the extensions configured correctly, Hotmail will most likely not accept the mail message as it will not be from a trusted domain. Also, you must install some sort of Mail server to be able to do what you want. (I used MailEnable). I would strongly recommend having your site hosted.

thanks. I dont really want to download and set up a mail server if I cant use my hotmail account. I dont want to have to check 2 e-mail accounts from now on also. I guess Ill just forget the forms unless some1 knows a way to set them up with hotmail?
