A Folding Menu - 6/4/2004 19:26:41
I am building a little web site in FP 2000. The site's "History" page has three child level pages below it. I am using shared borders and have manually set all links.

I'd like to set up History so that it would fold out the three links to the child level pages without having to go to a javascript. FP leads me to believe I can do that. I have selected History, then clicked on Tools, then Customize, and then selected the menu animations list and in it selected fold.

I then close the Tools menu and do a save. Nothing special happens when I then click on History. What am I doing wrong? A search on this forum has revealed no posts on Folding Menus?

I looked through frontpage but cound not re-create the part that you talked about with the menu anitmation.

Can you be a little more clear with what you did? I never thought this could be done in a FP extension.

The customise settings you are talking about are for FP's own menus (file, edit etc) not for menus that you build in your site.

If you want pop out menus that don't use javascript then you can use css but it won't work in IE, the other browsers (Opera, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape etc.) will handle it. See following....

make sure you view this in IE and one of the others. In IE you won't see his examples as mentioned above.
