We have just set up our new server and are trying to set up security and permissions. Everything is set up perfect. All the t's are crossed and I's dotted. But it's not working. any ideas?

Nope:

1. We don't know what you have the server set up as;
2. We don't know the server configuration;
3. We don't know what software is installed;
4. We don't know whether it is on a LAN/MAN/WAN;

Give us that information, and then we may be able to give you some answers
