CSS modification - 6/11/2004 17:18:38
I previously used FP to build a site with tables. Now I'm building a very simple site. I've been told that using CSS makes sense. I have a two-column template that I was thinking of having someone modify for me and I would then use it for future modification. With tables I could easily do something like this and later add forms, etc. and see exactly where to enter such. My concern is that with CSS I might not be able to easily modify a template without having knowledge of linking sheets and I wouldn't be able to see where an item was being placed on the page. Am I correct in these assumptions? If so, and I plan on making constant adjustments and don't desire to hire outside help each time, would I be better off to just do it myself with tables? Would my site really lose that much? Thanks.

Thanks so much for the info and the welcome. What if I want to a a form, for example. With tables I could see exactly where that would be. From this basic CSS two-column template I have, each column is on top of each other in the Normal view. I'm not sure where it would appear in the actual page. How do I deal with things like that?
