Kanoodle vs. Google - 6/15/2004 17:58:18
Does anyone have any experience with Kandoodle's KeywordTarget and ContextTarget programs? I'm assuming they are similar to Google's AdSense and AdWords. Are they?

thanks, gail

Gail,

I have been advertising on Google for nearly a year now. I have my search words and phrases down so I am getting a 1.75 return on my advertising. Essentilly, for each dollar I spend on advertising, I am getting $1.75 in sales. It has been a labor of love.

I am now using the same set of keywords and phrases at Overture, but the jury is still out.

As for Kanoodle, I used a "$25 free trial" from another site. I used the same set of advertising words I use at Google. The $25 free trial was gone in less than 18 hours. I saw an uptick in traffic, but not a single sale. At the time, I was spending $100 a month on Google. You would think I would have seen at least one sale from Kanoodle, but no.

If you take the Kanoodle plunge, keep an eye on it. It is a lot like Google, but there is a manual review process of keywords and advertising phrases that seems to take FAR too long.

Good luck!

I don't think I will. I'm quite happy with Google, and getting good returns for the dollars I spend. Can't wait for Christmas. ;-)

Kanoodle sent me a ton of traffic from Russia and other East Europe countries. I never had a sale from Kanoodle traffic.

Overture and Google send me traffic from USA and Canada with consistant trackable sales.

Read what you want into it...

P.S. - when you quit Kanoodle they will send you emails at least once a day for a week. Then they taper off to every other day. They outright beg you to come back.

EDIT: spell
