Doorway or Static? - 6/16/2004 19:34:29
Is this page, http://tribeazure.com/animal.htm considered to be a doorway page or a static or are they the same thing? Be patient. I'm new to most of this. :) Thanks! Nicci

It's a static page but I guess you would consider it a "doorway" to the special items page also.

Thanks Mike and dpf! It isn't listed on the homepage because...I don't know why. :) I guess I was thinking I was only using it to submit to the search engines. I can't optimize the .asp pages very well so I wanted it for that, but it might get indexed quicker and higher if I listed on the front. Good idea! Nicci

Static page: A page not generated by a DB query.

Doorway page: A page, most commonly, used for search engine entry point that is not linked by your navigation of the web site.

Take care,

Brian

Thanks Brian, I have now linked it like dpf suggested. I hope it gets indexed now. Nicci
