What makes a web page an authority? - 6/18/2004 3:51:02
After the recent SES conference in London, those of us in the know had confirmed what we knew all the time. Out bound links to authoritive sites on subjects close to us does more benefit than harm. In fact googles algorythum deems our site more important as we are backing up the claims made on it. I have two questions:- 1) How can we tell what is and isnt deemed an authorative website on a subject. 2) This is the third time I have posted this thread and it has been deleted twice. Who out thete does not want people to know this?

Not sure on the delete question. I usually notify when I delete via a PM with a reason. I always have thought, and I could be wrong, that authoritive sites were sites with reams of content and few outbound links. Take care, Brian
