Form email not working - 6/24/2004 11:24:40
Hi guys ! I've been trying to solve this problem for the past 2 days with no success. We are moving our web page from an external hosting company to our in-house servers. Everything seems to go smooth until I ran into a form that emails the results to an specific address. When I try to submit it I get the infamous error message: FrontPage Error. User: please report details to this site's webmaster. Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details. Any ideas? I already uninstalled and re-installed FP extensions. I'm running Windows 2003 server with 2002 FP Extensions v 5.0.2.5012 My SMTP is configured and I already tested it sending emails using ASP and CDO. I even started from scratch, created a new TEST web site, then created a new form using FP, the I published it and same result. You can check the form at http://12.4.113.101 Any help would be appreciated !!! Thanks in advance, Angel

Un-install/re-install FP server extensions is one solution and I always recommend that. However, on the folder where your form-page sits on, check the security and make sure the 'Authenticated Users' group as well as the 'INTERACTIVE USER' group are added and have read, write and execute permissions. If this doesn't work, trash your FP because it's absolutely useless. :) Pras

on 2003 server you need to set up the email for FP. You need to enter a default email address for the site

I had identical problem with my frontpage extension. Ensure that the domain you are using for you email is the domain used for you active directory. i was trying to use abc@nic.nudgee.com when our windows domain is abc@nudgeeinternational.com. Changeed it to abc@nudgeeinternational.com and it worked for me.
