Affiliate Programme - 6/28/2004 7:08:01
Hi, I'm looking to set up a programme where I have links to other designers/friends on my site and hopefully reciprocal links back to mine. Is there any easy way to do this? Or do I simply come out and say "Who would like a link on my site to theirs?" I'm hoping to get some for of banner/button sorted out to add to clients sites too. Since coming to Outfront I've had nothing but good welcomes and would like to give a little back to all those who've helped me. Please post if you're interested or could give me some advice. Mark

Technically it'd be 'free' advertising, as the 'payment' would be that maybe someone that came to my site may visit yours and see something they like, and vice-versa. It's just basically friend's links that I want to achieve. I'll send you a message, Mark

You'll be lucky to get my potential clients lol, the majority of people I work with are US citizens. So you'll be lucky to get many from me. Unless you can take USD for payment? Dan

Course I do, who doesn't? But if you make sweeping generalisations about your 'potential clients' then there's not really much point in being a part of anything is there?! I'm simply not trying to leech off anyone as you're suggesting!

I have another site that will be world wide, without clients, and you would be more than welcome to have a link on there, but I will have T&C to go by...not many....but I do need people to abide by them.....speak to me nicely, and I may pay you for it <edit> I am currently building the web in between client work </edit> <edit2> quote:
I'm simply not trying to leech off anyone as you're suggesting! I'm not suggesting that at all. Affiliate programs are supposed to be easy ways of making money, and if you get clients from links, then what's all the fuss about? You may be cheaper than me, I don't know, but people like to shop around. There's no such thing as leeching clients.....It's up to them, not me </edit2>
