Hi all,

have now completely changed the web using css.

www.homesinspain.ltd.uk

Please let me know what you think, I can take it!!! - good or bad!
colours, text size, content, ease of use, etc, etc.

ps - Lori, if you are looking at this, thanks for your ideas with the home page images, I know this went to someone else, so I hope you dont mind me doing a kind of copy (it no where near has your original flair!!!). Also, I cant use the original house picture either as we have sold it and the new owners may object, ha, ha.

It's a lot nicer than the original though I don't like that animated gif with teh sun coming up - I think it's distracting.

In Mozilla 1.6, the middle image overlaps the one on the left a little .

Thanks Peppergal.
I know what you mean about the animated gif, I would like to change it for something else but I dont really have any graphics skills to create something new. I could really do with something that gives impact, but doesn't distract.

Also, the image overlapping - it is actually one image created out of 2 - I thought I was being artly, lol. Again, i think I need to put a bit more thought into it - any ideas are very welcome - my brain has gone into sleep mode!!!!!

Also, on a side note, on the home page I added the text to the top image "The family company.....", it was nice and crisp, but when I optimzed the image to make the file smaller it becomes fuzzy. Anyone got any tips to optimize and image with text and keep the text crisp?

LOL, sorry about shooting down your "arty" graphic!

I have found that text optimizes poorly in jpg format, and photos don't work as gifs....I've not been able to happily get text on a jpg...

You could post in the graphics forum and see if someone has the time and incination (I have the inclination but no time right now) to make you a new graphic to replace the Homes in Spain one...an offer of a prize (one guy gave offered a new CD) or a little cash might entice some more folks. ;-)

thanks again,
ok - text has now been moved out of the graphic, so its nice and crisp.
"Arty" overlap now removed - you were right, you were the 3rd person to report an overlap problem, lol.

It's time to go to the pub now - so will give the logo some thought - unless anyone wants to help for a free jug of sangria (I live in Spain and you must collect).
