yy014 -> Dreamweaver Frontpage compatibility (7/16/2004 19:26:43)

Hi,
I am currently using Dreamweaver to create all my websites, never use Frontpage b4. Now I am doing a site that a client need to self maintain one page (Price list, which will just be a table), he claims that he know Frontpage, so I was just wondering can he just open a page i did in Dreamweaver without any problem and just copy a table from Word and paste it in, or do any edit?

I read that Frontpage don't support ASP/PHP...so i can't use any of those? just plain html...what about stylesheet i create in Dreamweaver, will Frontpage support it?

any tips will be appreciate [:)] and please tell me anything i should look out for too....[;)]

thanks a lot,
yvonne

Yvonne,

First things first, DW and FP are both WYSIWYG editors that allow you to edit files that have the .htm/.html extension as well as a host of others. If you present a .html page to the client that you have made in DW, it will also be openable in FP.

Stylesheets etc. can be linked and doesn't matter what program they were created in. With regards to ASP/PHP, you should be able to add code via HTML preview if you can hand-code, not sure if you're testing the pages locally, or uploading?

Mark
